- Prepare 2 tbsp butter or ghee
- Take 1/2 kg lauki
- Get 2 tbsp Almonds
- Prepare 2 tbsp pistachios
- Take 1 litre milk
- Prepare 1/3 cup Tapioca (sabudana)
- Take 1/4 tsp cardamon powder (Elaichi)
- Prepare Few drops green food colour
- Get 1/2 cup sugar
- Make ready 1/4 cup cream
Instructions to make Lauki kheer:
- Soak tapioca(sabudana) in 2 cups water for 2 hour.then set a side.
- Peel lauki and cut in the pieces remove seeds then grate with the help of grater.
- Squeeze lauki with the help of hand remove water.
- At medium flame add butter and lauki in pan. Cook lauki for 10-12 mins.
- Now add almonds and pistachios and mix for 30sec.
- Add milk and boil it.
- Add sabudana,sugar and cardamon powder.And cook until thick.
- Now add green food colour. Consistency is thick.
- Close low flame add cream.
- Garnished with nuts. Serve it.
