  1. Preparation for kadai cake(aluminium kadai or cooker works good to use as a oven for the baking)
  2. Grease cake tray and dust with flour and spread it. Set this aside
  3. Add rock salt to a kadai and spread it, place a ring or hot pot stand over the salt.
  4. Cover the kadai and begin to heat it on a medium flame.
  5. For Making cake batter. Add butter, sugar, essence in a mixing bowl.
  6. With a wired whisk continuously stir untill sugar dissolves.(U can use powder sugar) now add milk and egg and again whisk till batter floppy and creamy
  7. Now add flour, baking powder, baking soda, lemon juice in batter gently mix until the flour is just combined well.
  8. Pour this to the cake tray. Knock it a few times to the counter.
  9. Place the cake tray inside the kadai on top of the ring or stand.(Kadai has to be hot inside)
  10. Cover the kadau with lid and bake for 40 to 50 min. On a low flame.
  11. When the cake is completely baked, a tester inserted comes out clean.
  12. The cake top will be fairly dry when you touch it, if it is still moist the bake for few more mins. Cool completely before slicing.
  13. Decorate with orange chocolate buscuit and cherry.
