- Prepare 3/4 glass semolina rava
- Make ready 2 1/2 tablespoon Ghee
- Take as required Cashews
- Take as required Raisins
- Get 1 pinch Saffron colour
- Take 1 1/2 glass water
- Take 4 tablespoon Sugar
- Prepare 1 Cardamom
Steps to make Chow chow bhath:
- Preparation of Khara bhath: In a kadhai dry roast 2 red chillies, coriander seeds, cinnamon,Urad dal, coconut and asafoetida
- After cooling, grind it to a fine or coarse powder
- Now in a kadhai, add oil,after it gets heated add the mustard seeds followed by onions, ginger, chilli.
- Once it changes it’s colour add tomato, green peas and carrot and sauté
- Now add turmeric powder, and coarse grinded powder into the kadai
- Once everything is sautéd well, add required water and needed salt
- Once it comes to boiling point add the rava into it and mix well without lumps
- Add the coriander leaves and curry leaves before taking off from stove
- Now khara bhath is ready
- Preparation of kesari bhath
- And then add water and saffron colour and cardamom to it and mix well without any lumps
- Once the water has been absorbed, add sugar and ghee if needed and mix well
- Take off the stove once it’s in a semi consistency
- Now serve masala spicy khara bhath with coconut chutney and sweet kesari bhath
