  1. Make ready 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  2. Get 1/2 cup yogurt
  3. Get 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  4. Take 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  5. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. Prepare To taste salt
  7. Prepare 2 tsp sugar
  8. Prepare 1 tsp eno fruit salt
  9. Take 2 tsp oil
  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  11. Take 5-7 curry leaves
  12. Take 2 green chillies slit
  13. Prepare 1 tsp lemon juice
  14. Get 1 tbsp scraped coconut
  15. Take 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Steps to make Besan Dhokla:

  1. Mix besan, ginger paste, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, salt and 1 tsp sugar in a bowl. Add yogurt and mix well.
  2. Add 1/2 cup water with eno fruit salt and mix well to make a batter of pouring consistency.
  3. Grease a plate and pour the prepared batter.
  4. Steam it for 15-20 minutes over a medium high heat. Remove and allow it to cool.
  5. Once cooled, cut into desired shapes and keep aside.
  6. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add curry leaves and green chilli. Saute for few seconds. Add 1 cup water and 1 tsp sugar. Cook covered for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Pour this tempering over the dhokla making sure it absorbs completely.
  8. Serve dhokla garnished with coriander leaves and coconut.
