Instructions to make Chickpeas/chhole masala:

  1. Remove the water from the soaked chickpeas and wash them again with water.
  2. Boil the soaked chickpeas with water and teabags and 1 pinch baking soda in a pressure cooker until 2-3 whistle comes.
  3. Turn off the flame and let it cool.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai add cumin seeds, dry red chilli and all whole garam masala, onions and saute.
  5. Then add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes and saute it until oil separates.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chhole masala powder, saute it until oil separates.
  7. Now add boiled chickpeas and salt mix well and cooked.
  8. Add some water to it and cooked for 5/7minutes on medium flame.
  9. After 5 minutes turn off the flame.
  10. Chickpeas masala is ready to serve.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and green chilli.
