To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have dal fry using 8 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Dal fry:
- Get 1 cup tur dal
- Get as required garlic, green chillies, coriander,
- Get 1 tomato, onion
- Make ready 1 tbsp Jeera,
- Prepare 2 dry red chillies,
- Take as per taste salt,
- Take 1 lime
- Make ready as needed haldi powder, dhania powder
Instructions to make Dal fry:
- Pressure cook one cup tur dal. Take at least 4 whistles
- Take a kadai and heat it. To it add ghee after it gets heated add zeera.
- After zeera splutters to it add some crushed garlic, green chillies and few coriander leaves and saute nice for 2 minutes. Do not burn
- To this add onion, tomato, and stir again for 5 more minutes till tomato gets mushy. Then add dal, and salt to taste.
- Let it boil nicely and stir it time to time. Squeeze a lemon. And check fr taste.
- Then take ghee in a tadka vessel and give tadka of broken 2 dry red chillies.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
