- Get 1 cup basmati rice/ rice

- First clean and chop all the vegetables and keep aside. Wash rice thoroughly and soak for 15 minutes.
- In a pan add oil and heat on medium flame, add cumin seed, chilli, bay leaf and sauteeé for few sec.
- When an aroma starts to come from masala add chopped vegetables, sauteé for some time and then add mix sprouts into it and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Then add tomatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and mix well. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes when tomatoes become lightly tender add soaked rice and mix gently.
- Now add 4 cups of water (double the quantity of rice and sprouts), and give it a boil on high flame. When it starts boiling lower the flame, cover the pan and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame.
- Stir in between to prevent sticking of the pulao on the bottom of the cookware.
- After 15 minutes check the pulao, if required cover and cook it for some more time, then garnish pulao with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with dahi, raita or any gravy.
