- Marinate chicken with 1tbsp curd,1tbsp tomato puree and little salt for an hour.Boil 1 onion, cool and make a paste of it alongwith cashew nuts, sesame seeds and malai.
- Fry the chicken pieces lightly and set aside.Add some butter or ghee to the leftover oil. Sprinkle ajwain and when it splutters fry 1 chopped onion.Set aside.Now add the onion paste along with other masalas, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, food colour, salt and sugar to taste.Fry and add the chicken pieces.
- Pour 1 cup water, cover and cook till chicken is done.Now add the fried onion, toss till masala coats the chicken.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, little butter and sprinkle fresh cream or malai. Serve with pulao, tandoori roti or butter naan.
