The ingredients needed to make Strawberry flan:

  1. Take 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract -
  2. Prepare 4 pieces Egg yolks -
  3. Take 70 grams Caster sugar -
  4. Prepare 20 grams Wheat flour -
  5. Take Pastry case - 22cm (8 1/2 in)
  6. Prepare 500 grams Strawberries -
  7. Get 3 table spoon Apricot glaze (or sifted apricot jam) warmed-
  8. Get Extra fresh fruit, to decorate

Instructions to make Strawberry flan:

  1. Heat the milk in a pan with the vanilla extract, then remove from the heat.
  2. Beat the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl, add this mixture to the rest of the warm milk in the pan and whisk over the heat for 3-4mins or until thickened and smooth. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
  3. Fill the cooked pastry case with the custard. (Was the green bit) and slice the strawberries and arrange on top of the custard.
  4. Brush with the warm apricot glaze. Decorate with extra fresh fruit and glaze again. Chill before serving
  5. Serve with one scope of vanilla ice cream
