The ingredients needed to make Cocktail Eggs:
- Make ready 3-4 Boiled eggs
- Prepare 2-3 boiled potatoes
- Make ready 1/2 bowl semolina (suji / rava)
- Get 1 onion finely chopped
- Prepare As required Cornflour slurry
- Get As per taste Salt
- Prepare As per taste Black pepper
- Get As per taste Chilli flakes
- Take 1 spoon Lemon juice
- Get As required Oil (to fry)
Steps to make Cocktail Eggs:
- In a bowl mash the potatoes adding onion, salt, chilli, black pepper & lemon juice. Make a dough and keep aside.
- Now clean boiled eggs. Take a portion from the potato mixture flattened it out on your palm place the whole egg in the middle and overlap it with the mixture as shown in picture.
- Dip the egg potato ball in cornflour slurry (1/2 bowl cornflour mixted 2 spoonfull of water)
- Soon after the slurry bath give your roll a dip of semolina. Heat oil in a pan and fry it. Cut in half & serve with your favourite dip / sauce/ ketchup/ chutney/ bhujiya for extra crunch. Salad goes really well with it. Cocktail Eggs are ready to serve.
