  1. Take 250 g plain flour
  2. Get 2 teaspoon sugar
  3. Take 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. Sift the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Mix the milk and oil in a separate jug.
  2. Make a well in the middle of the flour mix and pour in the milk/oil, then mix around the mixture with a spoon. Then knead for 6-8 minutes. Add some flour if the dough is too sticky.
  3. Spread/spray some oil around the mixing bowl and place the ball of dough on top. Place wet kitchen roll over the top of the bowl, and leave for 10-15 minutes in a warm place.
  4. Preheat the grill/oven to medium and place a heavy baking sheet on the upper shelf of the grill to heat.
  5. Cut the ball of dough into 6 small balls, and roll each one out on a floured surface, into rough naan shapes, about 0.5cm thick.
  6. Place the naans onto a baking tray or on an upside down all metal lid with flour on, and into the oven. So the naans are supposed to be cooked in 1-2 mins, but mine usually taken at least 8 mins - just leave them in until they start to turn golden.
  7. Make garlic butter by melting some butter, garlic and a sprinkle of salt.
  8. Once each naan is done, take it out and place onto a plate and spoon over some garlic butter on each so it soaks in.
  9. And enjoy! This will be happy in the fridge for up to 2 days, just heat them up in the oven for a few mins.
