- Take 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Make ready 1 large Onion, finely chopped
- Prepare 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- Get 1 -inch piece of Ginger, finely chopped
- Get 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
- Get 2 teaspoons Cumin powder
- Take 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
- Make ready 2 teaspoons Chilli powder
- Get 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- Take 3 cups boiled chickpeas
- Get 2 cups diced Tomatoes
- Prepare leaves Freshly chopped Coriander
- Take 400 ml Coconut milk
- Make ready 1 teaspoon cornstarch powder
- Take 2 tablespoons Water
- Get Salt as per taste
Instructions to make Chole Tikka Masala:
- Heat 2 tbsp oil, add 1 finely chopped onion, saute until translucent.
- When onion turns translucent add 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, saute for 1 minute.
- Add 3/4 tsp ginger, saute for few seconds.
- Now add 1 tsp turmeric, 2 tsp each of cumin, red chilli, coriander & 1 tbsp garam masala powders, saute.
- Add 3 cups pre-soaked & boiled chickpeas, 2 cups diced tomatoes, mix well.
- Add 1 tsp salt, cover & cook on low heat for 15 mins, stirring once or twice in between.
- Add 400 ml coconut milk, simmer for 5 mins.
- Take 1 tsp cornflour, add 2 tbsp water, mix into a smooth slurry.
- Add the ready slurry into the chickpea masala, mix & simmer for 5 mins.
- Turn off the heat sprinkle 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander, serve hot.
