  3. Add a pinch of salt. When the vegetables are tender and lightly browned, add the tomatoes. When the tomatoes break down, pour in red .
  4. Add the bay leaf and simmer until thickened. Give it time to simmer for the flavors to soak in. Add salt and pepper to taste and it is ready.
  5. Cook your favorite pasta and serve it with the sauce. Rigatoni is used in the photo.
  6. This sauce can be used in lasagna as well. This bolognese sauce also goes well with gnocchi.
